Holy WOW!... did you know?

In 2011, using over 19,000 volunteer hours, and 252 volunteers dedicated to the Children's Program alone, Grace Mission ...
  • served 21,501 meals
  • provided 1,144 showers
  • cleaned 416 loads of laundry
  • individually tutored over 20 twice weekly Afterschool students
  • taught 28 children in our Thursday AWANA program
  • engaged neighboring families through 3 family fun festivals
  • blessed 200 backpacks filled with school supplies and food
  • provided quarterly medical clinics
  • paid for primary and life-saving medication through our medical fund
  • paid for limited over-the-counter medications as needed
  • engaged 37 children in Sunday School
  • supplied clothes and warm blankets, nonprescription glasses, and hygiene products
  • gave referrals to counseling, recovery, and in- and out-patient rehab facilities
  • provided space for two weekly recovery groups
  • provided for birth certificates and State photo IDs to help those secure employment when needed
As a worshipping community that gives back, we ...
  • valued our worship, averaging 167 attendance each Sunday, and 75 each Tuesday evening for prayer and healing
  • baptized 18 children and adults - alleluia!
  • learned and grew through an active Saturday Bible Study ministry, with 25+ participants
  • reached out each month to our Frenchtown neighbors with hot soup, fresh water, and prayers
  • planted/tended our organic garden, enjoyed the fruits of our labors, and learned about healthy living
  • cleaned up vacant lots through Adopt-A-Lots
  • joyfully gave our pennies, nickels and dimes to 'the least of these' by tithing thousands of dollars to 5 local Tallahassee agencies
  • raised 20% of our income ourselves
  • donated 2 goats, 1 cow, and (we're almost there!) a water well for an African village
  • enjoyed community dinner and movie each Friday evening
  • received a clean audit each of the 15 years of our operations!
  • charged no fees to the many people that receive our services

We have been blessed in our struggles, and find joy in blessing the world around us! Come join us on our adventure ... in worship and/or volunteering!  Alleluia!
